You are invited to the 2nd annual Future of Independent Media Summit on October 3rd and 4th in Ottawa, Ontario.
The Future of Independent Media Summit is the second edition of an event organized by Press Forward to bring together news publishers, public policy experts, philanthropy, academia and more to talk about the issues, ideas and innovations of the independent media in Canada’s information ecosystem.
On Friday October 3, we’re launching the summit with a party and a podcast taping. Over cocktails and canapés, we’ll hang out then watch and listen to a live taping of In Bed With the Elephant, Ricochet Media’s flagship interview podcast.
Then, we’ll spend Saturday October 4 in conversation about everything from AI in and for newsrooms to how to develop collaborations and partnerships to public policy for news publishers, and what to think/do/feel about news influencers, and lots lots lots more.
The weekend of conversations, workshops and networking is all about looking to the future and how we can improve journalism in Canada – for our publications, for our audiences, and for our communities.
Events on Sunday October 5 are for solely PressForward members and invited partners.
